Dropping 74 points, David Thompson is behind only Wilt and Kobe for most points in a single game. Inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, Thompson was nicknamed "Skywalker" for his incredible hops.
The Denver Nuggets arrived to the league in 1976 after the American Basketball Association merged with the NBA. Denver playing in the last ever ABA game as they faced off against the New York Nets in the 1975-76 ABA Final.
