• Amino Acids are the building blocks of protein and are important for muscle recovery and growth, particularly during and after strenuous exercise.
• Essential amino acids cannot be produced in the body and may need to be consumed through diet or supplementation.
• The branched-chain amino acids, leucine, isoleucine, and valine may support muscle growth by stimulating muscle protein synthesis – and this may be more effective in the presence of the other essential amino acids.
